I want occupiers to do some more positive actions for our communities. Something where we dont face arrest. I m looking for suggestions that can be universal to all or most cities throughout the country.

5 of us moved into a run down house and are renovating it. We have built some great reciprical relationships. With those relationships we have been invited to take some advocacy stands along with some long time activists. We pick up trash, fix peoples windows, we will mow old lady's lawns and what not. It's working out really well so far. We also pass out a lot of flyers. The industrial prison complex and the closing of some recreational centers are issues which we are organizing on right now a little.

that sounds really cool the work your doing. I was thinking about trying to get some people to volunteer and an old folks center with me or a soup kitchen

Neighborhood beautification  - this could be anything from picking up trash, to tending to flowers / plants in public spaces, to symbolically confrontational things like mowing the lawn in front of a  foreclosed home, or planting vegetables in a vacant lot.
