I would love to see the rich-text editor turned on. Will you be able to install the upgrade?
I had been working on this site
http://occupyideas.us
that brightidea.com donated, but the fact that this (ideas.occupy.net) is a (presumably) occupy created/controlled and open source site is obviously preferable. occupyideas.us has the ability to attach files to posts.
Also you might check out the way I did Categories on that site. I think there's some that could be added here.
This site is really impressive!

ideas.occupy.net, along with all of the occupy.net projects, are based on open source apps (we use free code and publish our versions at
http://github.com/occupynet
) and it's hosted on servers that are owned by Occupy Wall St (NYC General Assembly) and maintained by OWS volunteers.
It looks like now that we've gotten the various teams to come together around this idea this will be a fruitful collaboration.
I've added the rich text editor for Answers and Questions.

As far as I know, not in this version of the site. There is an upgrade which may address this (from 1.4 to 1.5)
Use the rich-text editor, which is an optional feature of this site, may also provide the ability to upload some types of files such as images.
