Why are the sharing functions in Spanish?

The social network sharing utilities are in Spanish:
Compartir en Facebook
Compartir en Twitter
Compartir en Meneame

This was forked from a Spanish-language project called "propongo" ("i propose").

The labels are in english, just hardcoded into the theme - I can switch them out.  Doesn't look like the site supports multi-language themes.
